Default The Hidden Explorable

I wanted to share this little pic with you all. Now, I'm sure this has been found before, but I wanted to post it anyway. A friend of mine showed me this today. He has to run 3D Analyze because his PC just uses integrated graphics. It allows him to turn off shades and textures so the game won't crash. Using it, he noticed this little area one day in Elona....

I thought this was interesting. Is it something that Anet removed from the game? Can anyone shed some light on it?

It's a removed pvp map, to sum it all up. You can dig into it more on the wiki.
Still wonder why it was removed.

Like other PvP maps, it would show up on the real map if you have some external programme, such as Texmod using it.

I know I've seen them show up somewhere anyway. I think they do in a HB game if you maximise your "U" map.

Wow, that would be a beautiful arena. Too bad it didn't make it into the PvP circuit (like the Amnoon Oasis arena did).

Perhaps make a suggestion to throw it into RA/TA?

On second thought, maybe not, considering how much TAers QQ'd over having to do point capping.

Very interesting. My first guess was O maybe it was one of those towns that were supposed to be closed except to the gm's. After reading the other posts I went. O that makes so much more sense then my dumb idea. MMMMM throw it into the HA circuit. Not like it could screw it up anymore

There was bug when it was actually part of RA/TA map rotation on live servers for a while

There are screen shots of people having RA matches in it.

Shame that particular bug was fixed, i wonder what internal QA description was - "Too much RA Content"?

Ooo neat. Thanks for the link too. I haven't see this area show up on my map, but then again I wasn't really looking. Wonder why they removed it, the King of the Hill thing sounded cool.

They should bring it back as a Prophecies challenge that can be entered from both sides:
- The Arid Sea
- The Hidden Citty of Adhashim
As long as you have both Nightfall and Prophecies.
